WELCOME
To Skoda Owners Club
GB. This website has been in this format since mid February 2008.
The site gives
members and prospective members plenty of information about what the
club is doing this year.
I would like the
site to be simple to use, hence all information and contacts are on this
one page. If you have a bit of time to browse, then check out the green
hyperlinks above.
There's much more
information about "what we do", in the quarterly 24 page full colour club
Magazine, available by joining the club.
Any comments or
suggestions (to do with site), please contact me at address, top right
of page, enjoy - OZ
LATEST
NEWS
International Skoda Tour
- It probably is too late to book on this years Tour in Denmark,
but if you contact the organiser via the website, they may have a space or
two.
Helmingham Hall
Festival
- This annual event based in
the grounds of a beautiful stately home is arranged by the Suffolk Vehicle
Enthusiasts Club. The SOC GB has booked a stand for 10 cars. The cost is
£10 per car, which admits the driver and one passenger. Entries for the
club stand must be made through Mark Fisher.
Summer
Camp and AGM -
Don't forget to book your place at this
years AGM, remember first 45 applicants get free entry into Gaydon Museum.
The Summer Camp Rally is open from Thursday 14th to Tuesday 19th August.
Extra days are available, but please book these directly with the site -
Mr Buxey (Quote Skoda Rally). More details are available in the Spring
Magazine for both events, including booking forms.
Coventry
Festival of Motoring
- This event takes place over two
days. On the Sunday of last years event, there was an impressive cavalcade
of 540 + vehicles undertaking a 60 mile route around Coventry and North
Warwickshire. On site there were 30 Club stands and at the end of the day
thousands of spectators gathered to welcome the cavalcade back to the
park.
East
European Car Day at Foxfield Railway
- At this event we join up with other East European car clubs. Camping is
available on Saturday night, a bonus for those who may wish to take
advantage of the real ale bar. There are free train rides for
participants.
Rallyday
Event
- There are still a couple of spaces left on the club stand. You will now
have to contact Steve for him to reserve you a space, then book via the
event organiser.
Classic
Car Show at N.E.C
-
Now confirmed, we have a 12 by 15 metre pitch in Hall 2, but both displays
will be sharing this space. This is a larger area than last year, but it
is planned that not so many cars will be displayed. See column on right for contact
details.
